I'm trying to not only figure out what this is, but where it goes in my 2003 CLK 500.
It's got a little electrical connection too, I can see the electrical plug, and that's on the right side of the car, just in front of the tire area..... but I don't know where the assembly connects too to function properly.

Total length of this part is about 2 inches long

One side: ( very very small ) 800 542 04 10, or 000 542 04 10 vdo
Other side: ( very very small ) Germany 809/9/1 89 dergees

Any help would be greatly apprectiated !! Thanks

 

outside temp sensor. there is a small spot in the front lower bumper that it pops in to.
