Default What gearboxes will fir M120 V12 engine

**typo in the title, it's supposed to say "What gearboxes will fit M120 V12 engine"**

Hi,

I'm currently building a race car with Mercedes M120 V12 engine. We are looking to add a different gearbox but to do so we need to create an adapter plate using the original gearbox. Since we don't have the original I'm looking to buy any damaged/faulty/used one just to create the adapter from. But I'm kind of confused which gearboxes will fit? I don't care about electronics, gear ratios and all of that matching up. I only need the cheapest box that will 100% fit the M120 engine.

Can anyone shed some light? Thanks.

It seems like all the X600 Benzes from the 90s use either 722.621 (5-speed) or 722.362 (4-speed). Looking at Mercedes parts number, the first 6 numbers are always the same between different models (SL600, S600, CL600 etc.). But these first 6 numbers, which I suppose represent the housing, match with many more Mercedeses. (Just go here https://www.fitzhughmedia.com/MBF/transtypes.html and search for 140-270 )
