hi all!

how terrible is it if i don't have the mercedes gang install 4 new tires. they qouted me at $894 and told me places like town fair won't do the special aligning that they will.

is this b.s. so that i give them the business or is it true that mercedes service is the only place that will do it "properly"?

OMG that is the most BS i have ever heard. Buy tires wherever u want just get them balanced as u would on any other vehicle. Of all the stuff i have heard people say about this car needs special this or special that this one takes the cake!!!

 

thanks...i actually needed to hear this and they had me convinced. this is my first mercedes. i see my tires are $80 off tirerack.com (which i found from this forum). mercedes gang told me $130 each!

about $90 each installed! I get 30-40k miles out of them and they work fine for me in the rain or summer. Hope this helps.
