Default Squeaky arm rests: GLK

My 2012 GLK350 is almost flawless, but there's one peeve I have with the front arm rests. When gripped to close the door, they squeak. It's sounds like 2 pieces of plastic grinding against one another. I think if I can remove the armrest to add appropriate rubber insulating padding to the offending area, I can quiet the sound. I've gotten as far as removing the 2 screws located on the armrest itself, but am stuck there. Can anyone inform me of what would be the next step to get at the interior of the armrest? I'm hoping it doesn't involve removal of the entire door panel!
As anyone can see, I have very little to be concerned with on this fantastic machine. Peace to all.
