Shock Absorber Replacement & Springs
Hey,
New to this forum and owning a Benz, but so far I am happy with both. The other day the rear passenger shock absorber leaked all it's hydrolic fluid so I've got 2 replace it. I figure the car is in mint condition except a few things like the shocks which are pretty worn out so why not do them all at once. My question is - Which kind of shocks should I use - ... I'm looking at using something better such as gas shocks. Which one's are the best I can fit on my 88 190e 2.6? While i'm at it what about springs to lower ride hieght. What's the procedure to change the springs and again, recomendations on the best ones to use on this model of car. I've checked online, but it's hard to know which ones will work the best without the benefit of expeience using them. Thats about everything ... I guess it's not bad considering the car has 200,000k on it.
Thx,
Jay
