C230K Coup shock absorber problem, Please help!
Hi, I am new to here. I drive 2002 C230 Coupe with 6 M/T. So far I am satisfied with the car's performance, utility (can load so much stuff) and excellent milage. But, after 25,000Miles, it does not absorb shock and ride is harsh. Panorama sunroof starts making large noise(due to harsh ride?). Does anybody have same problem? Please advise how much does it cost to replace shock at M-B Dealer? Please Help! Sato

Hi Sato and welcome to the forum. I am not familiar with your particular car, but in my opinion, 25,000 miles is too early
to be replacing struts on your car. I mean, anything is possible, but I have a 2005 C230K with 120,000 miles on it, and my struts
are fine and the car rides as it did brand new. I think before you tell anybody to replace parts, you should make sure you need
that part and let THEM determine why the car now rides differently. I also think it's worth looking at the tires on the car. Some
problems with ride, not just vibration or harsh ride, can be tires. And not just the tread depth either. They can have an internal
steel belt problem and you wouldn't be able to see it. So......you may need what you say you do, but be sure before you spend
lots of money. Hopefully, somebody with this year and model car will read this and give a better answer unique to your car.
Hope this helps.
