5 days and it is still starting. I believe it is the anti theft module.
Can you tell me the proper name of the module and where it is located in the vehicle. If so I can probably purchased it from a source other than MB and save several hundred dollars.
Thanks

Component Name = ATA control module
Component ID = N26 (in the attached pics)

Hope this helps

Thanks. Should be able to find this at an after market store or perhaps a recycling facility.

Thanks. I really appreciate it. The vehicle continues to start each day so I am confident it is this particular module. I could put the fuse back and see if it malfunctions again but its not worth the aggravation. I'll try those two sites for the module.

This is what I saw when I opened the side of the vehicle. It is somewhat different than your image.
On the large black module the numbers are: 140 820 00 26 On the white module, identified as K2 the numbers are 129 820 41 26(06)
Do any of these make sense? Is one of them the anti theft module?

Thanks

I'm beginning to worry about you mate. LOL

The shape alone should have been a dead give away.

Component Name = ATA control module
Component ID = N26

Thanks I suspected as much however did not want to guess and incur an expensive mistake. I'll leave that up to the MB dealer

If you want to feel "extra" sure (for your own piece of mind), just call the dealer ask for the parts dept. and tell them that you are looking for a specific part number. Then just rattle off to them the number that's on the label accross the front and then they'll tell you what the part is along with how much a new one will cost.

Hope this helps
