Default Problem after window tint

Got my windows tinted today and after I left I noticed the radio reception was bad. I got home and tried to lock the car with the remote and it didn't work until I was standing right next to the door. Obviously the antenna/sensors are in the window and the tint is affecting it. Have never had this problem with other cars. I can't believe that window tint is messing up the sensors. Anyone else ever hear of this problem? Please help!

Does the tint you used have metal particles in it, if so this could distort the radio frequency. Also there is a wiring that goes to the antennae which is called the CROMBAR that receives the radio freq from the remote to lock/unlock doors. If the CROMBAR is accidentally cut by the tint installer that could be another reason.

I was told this by MB dealer which wasn't the case in my situation though.

Am also having major problem with AM radio band in my 2012 SLK 350.
Also had windows tinted. Car has been in dealership three times. Currently there for over a week. No answers. No fix .
Called MB, USA in Montvale NJ for help. No answer yet.

The tint MUST be non metallic film to be sure to not cause signal interference... I own a mobile window tinting company in Tampa.. Let me know if I can help.
