Just did a timing chain job on the W203 C200 Kompressor (red top) Everything seemed to have gone well, changed the main chain, tensioner and guides but now there is a timely on off rattle with slight throttle. The noise definately seems to be coming from the top pan/chain area. When I disconnect the cam sensor on the top pan the noise doesn't occur. Remember though it only on the initial slight throttle or accelartion not idling or mid driving. Comes on and then goes off in a very precise way.

Did I do something wrong or overlooked a component in the repair ??
