Default 1980 450SL Timing issue after replacing Upper Chain guide rails

I need some advice. I just finished replacing the valve chain guide on the drivers side. I am ready to change the otherside when i realized my timing marks are off on both sides by about 8mm each counterclockwise and my harmonic balancers that read 0/0 TDC when i started now reads 25 which happens to be the factory timimg mark. (QUESTION) did i mess up here somewhere and what should i do before moving on to my last guide. FYI i had removed the power steering, distributor and alternator after setting my TDC. could the little i moved the camshaft sprocket when removing it result in the TDC marking being off so drastically? How do i rectify this issue. Thank you in Advance an obvious newbie. but who's asking? THX
