HELLO,I OWN A 450 SEL 1980,AND I HAVE THE FOLLOWING PROBLEM.</P>


THE CAR WILL START FINE WHEN ENGINE IS COLD,BUT WONT WHEN ENGINE IS WARM,IF I STOP THE ENGINE AND RESTART RIGHT AWAY IS FINE,IF I WAIT FEW MINUTE IT WILL NOT START OR IT WILL WITH A LOT OF CRANKING.</P>


I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IS A PROBLEM RELATED WITH THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM?????????</P>

 

I had a 85 sel that had this problem. There is a ck valve in the fuel line near the tank. If this goes bad when you shut the engine off you losse pressure witch causes a bleedoff of the injectors now you have a flooded engine. most small shops can do this test for you. good luck
