Why Won't Vito Start When Warm
My son recently bought a 99 vito van but it is very difficult to start when the engine is warm. Our local mechanic is baffled why he cannot find the source of the problem. Any suggestion would be very much appreciated - Thanks
I had the same problem today. very warm weather. drove van at 6.30am left it at golf course 4.5 hour, drove home (20mins journey). parked it up ten minutes, thendrove 2 miles. parked it up for about 4 hour. tried to start it up but it wouldnt. it tuns over but refuses to go.whats all that about then????
could it be battery.
could it be battery.
Pick up a spark checker from autozone or something(like $5), Get the car nice and hot and get it to where it won't start up again and have someone crank the car over while you hold the checker to the plug wires and look for spark. If there's no spark then you're lookin at an ignition control module(pretty common).
Basically just recreate the problem then check your spark, fuel, air, and compression. There's about a 90% chance it's something electronic.
