I have a problem starting my car, it use to happen once in a while and I would just shake my car a little and play with a few things that have nothing to do with it but somehow I was able to get it working.
Now I am at the point where it wont start at all I have charged the battery for a couple days on a trickle charger and I also have tried to jump start it. niether worked. When I try to start the car Ihear aclick but it seems as if the starter motor is not engaging. I am not sure what is wrong but does that sound right? Is there a way I can jump start my starter to see if the connecting is just bad?

YES BEFORE STARTIN TAP THE STATER MOTOR WITH A TAPPING STICK(HAMMER)LIGHTLY, TURN KEY TO SEE IF IT STARTS,IF IT WORKS YOU LL REQUIRE NEW BRUSHES.

 

if you can hear a clicking noise then either yer starter is bad(solenoid)
or you got a bad battery or loose wiring somewhere. if lights dim then its the
battery or the wiring. if no dimming is present then its the starter.
