Default Kickdown problems

I have a 1994 E280 and the kickdown on throttle takes ages before it reacts. Any suggestions as to what to do to rectify. The car was badly neglected by previous owner(s) and found engine oil in the power steering reservoir and the brake fluid had been replaced with engine oil too! Thank you.

Default RE: Kickdown problems

the first thing to do is to check the transmission oil level and condition of oil, should not be burnt or black (red is good)

check the modulating pressure, if the pressure is incorrect (can be adjusted) then the transmission could change early or late.

then let me know
