Default Infrared keys

My keys are the having the one button remote control for locking and unlocking the car via the rear view mirror. (1995 c class)

Just wondering, what would happen when the key is inserted into the ignition switch in the car and when you are about to turn it to the "on" position and you accidently pressed the "button" while turning the keys over.

Quiz: what would happen to the keys or the car or it effects?

Nothing happens in my SL. I assume the same for your car.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

So nothing will happen to the car; like an interruption to the signals etc...?

That's good news for me. I was worried though.....

Thanks!

Hey sleepwalker,

how does a "panic" button look like anyway?

on 3 buttons, it looks like this.

on single button, very similar to the "smart key". there is an additional red button on it.
