Best bet is to take the car to the dealer and contact your insurance company.

I totally agree with the 1st reply. Contact your insurance right away. I guarantee you have more problems than misfires and p/s noises.

Ditto.

There was a flash flood earlier this year. Cars were successfully driving through a big pool of water at an intersection, so I thought I could too. My SLK230 didn't have the ground clearance the other cars had, so it aspirated water. She stalled out and was towed, and was resurrected (so I thought) after several hours of getting water out of everywhere. There was water in the cylinders, even.

I didn't want to get rid of the car, I loved that thing so much. But everyone said it's never the same car after it's been through water, and I found that to be true. The supercharger started cutting out, automatic hardtop lifting and lowering motor started acting wonky, all kinds of other weird little problems.

Totalled it with my insurance company; the reimbursement value paid off the remainder of the loan PLUS another $4500 to put towards the next one.... which was another SLK, newer model. Just got it, enjoying it, and glad I let the flooded one go.
