Help! Mercedes Cannot Fix My Car!
Car: 2004 Mercedes C240 4matic. I bought the car in Dec 09 with 135k miles on it. The car ran perfect for 4 months.
Description of Problem: One day in the middle of driving, the dash lit up with all these error messages ABS BAS ESP. I was stopped at a light and the car got stuck in gear. I couldn't get it out of gear. I couldn't find a reset switch where PRND was so I took off cables to battery to reset car. The lights went off, but eventually it started again. When the lights come back on, the car drags so that you cannot drive the car faster than 30_40mph.
Attempted Resolutions: I originally took car to a repair shop. The guy had replaced the brake control unit, the error message appeared again after driving car 30 or so miles (very inconsistent), After having the car at some repair shop for a month with no resolution, pulled the car out from him and brought it to a Mercedes Shop. The car has been at Mercedes for over 2mths and the following was replaced: brake control unit, wire harness, fuse box, transmission control unit. Now, keep in mind they had mechanics working on it, then it was given to the foreman and the foreman had to get Mercedes manufacturers involved. I got the car back a week ago. I drove the car for a week, put at least 300-500 miles on the car and the error message occurred AGAIN! I brought it back to Mercedes, they basicly said they cannot fix the car! They gave me my money back with the new parts and here I am! I cannot believe Mercedes could not fix this car! They felt they put too much time and lost too much money to go any further. Someone, please help!

I would check to make sure the put the correct ABS conrol module in there is a cataloging problem and its possible that you got the wrong part # just a suggetion. also would recogmend another dealer. I find it a shame they could tell you its not worth there time it is there car!
