glow plug dash light flashes
I have a few questions regarding my Turbo Diesel.
Sometimes when I turn the ignition on to warm the glow plugs the dash indicator flashes instead of staying solid. Also, when it does this it seems to start hard, like the plugs are not heating up. If I drive the car frequently it does it less. Is this the glow plug relay going bad?
Also...
I recently replaced, not at the same time, the Alternator and Battery. But for some reason the battery "dummy - light" is on dully at idle. You can only really see it at night and when the revs are up the light goes away. I've charged the new battery and used a tester on it. Checks out Ok. I've also checked the charging system. Is there something I'm missing?
Any ideas?
Thx,

you probably do have a bad glow plug, or glow plug module, you can test your glow plugs by using an ohm meter and put one to ground and the other on the top of the glow plug( after taking off the glow plug wire) . compare to other glow plugs which ever one has great resistance is the bad plug.
