I am having a problem with my 1985 300d gearbox. Since I purchased the car 4 years ago, the gears have been slightly off. For instance, when you put it in P, it looks like it is in R. I was told that the linkage needed to be adjusted, I kept driving it, like this for some time. Then, about 1 year ago P stopped working, I can put it into park but I can hear it missing or something.. Like a clicking noise when it rolls back or forth. Now, R is not working all the time, and I can not always get it into R or P, It just wont move, unless I drop it all the way down to L a couple times the go back up to P. I hope this is clear? Any help would be awesome!
