FUEL FILTER Question
I recently got a 2001 Ml320 and i want to replace the Fuel Filter the #'s on the filter says (A1634770501 ) i cant seem to find any filters with that number online at all, what im seeing is #'s ( A1634770701 ) my question is did they change the part #'s and will a A1634770701 fit??

Mercedes, and other manufacturers for that matter, routinely change part numbers for various and sundry reasons....new manufacturer/supplier to them, new design gets new number to tell it from old stock, etc.
I think the question behind your question is how can you be sure that the filter, part, whatever is the most current and correct one for your car. The best way is to sign up at Mercedes EPC(Electronic Parts Catalog) at

If you're in the US, the subscription to this parts catalog specific to your car is free. You will be asked to provide a Credit Card # that is not charged , but used to verify your identity. It's a great free service that is bulletproof when it comes to part numbers. Good Hunting
