E300 Engine Lag/Failure Cured by A/C
I have a 1998 E300 TurboDiesel Mercedes Benz.
After the car has been on for a while and the AC is off, the car seems to lag (the engine seems to stutter violently--it sounds as if the car is running out of diesel).
This only happens when the car is stopped (when I brake for long periods of time) and when I am parked (and the car is in Park).
However, after the AC is put on (to the second power, the second box that signifies the AC power is filled in) the stutters goes away.
Also, if the rear window heater is put ON, the stutters goes away.
The car does not lose horsepower, waste more gas, or do anything out of the ordinary; the car runs perfectly (except for this engine violent murmur).
