Time lag in idle compensation
Hi
I have been trying for ages to solve a problem with my 124'sidle speed. Engine is a 1992 102 with KE Jet, no O2 sensor, 2 litre.
1) At idle and when the AC kicks in, the rpms drops significantly to cause the engine to shake as the ICV seems to have a time lagin kicking in to compensate.
2) This problem seems to be intermittent - sometime comes and goes away for weeks and months and then suddenly just reappear.
3) There is the slightest drop in the rpm from about 700 to maybe 650 when this condition presents with the suddering again when AC kicks in. When rpm is at 700+, the ICV compensates as per normal.
4) I have clean the ICV valve on the bench, tested it and it opens and closes well.
5) I have resoldered the KE Jetronic box.
6) Have carb cleaned all hose related to the ICV and they are new too.
Any ideas on what else to look for?
