i have this lil button looking thing and when you flick it to the right a lil person shows and i cant figure out what it does because it doesnt lock any thing...

 

It locks the rear windows from going up and down with the rear switches.

 

i tried that but it didnt do anything... like me and my boyfriend both tested everything and it does nothing... you think maybe its broke?? oh yea and how do you work cruise control??? my does funny things like i turn it on and then it speeds up and then kinda putters and the cruise control turns off?? oh and another question... when i first got it the ppl told us to replace the cold start valve and it should be fine... well my dad only works on domestics and he replaced the valve and fixed the idle because while just in park it would spit and putter like it is fixin to cut off so now it runs fine once warm, but in the morning trying to start it, its very hard... do you have any idea whats wrong?? PLEASE HELP

 

If you have an 07 E class, you don't have a cold start valve. Those are old news. Plus, the button you are talking about...where is it located?

 

no its 1990 and yes everyone has told me that it is an eclass... but i dont care but the button is by the shifter... i just need to know whats wrong with the whole starting thing???

it can also be an airbag disable switch for passenger side (child seat installed).

where is the button located?

 

i figured it out its not broke... ithas to be when the windows are up and then you lock it!!
