I want to clear a "malfunction" from my 2003 CLK500, and it's the one that says it's overdue for service, with a little wrench picture...

The dealer tells me I have to bring it in, and have it connected to a computer to clear that message.
Is this true, or BS ??

Everyother vehicle I've had, it's just a combo of gas pedal touches, and key turns... Is Mercedes different ??

I do all my own maintenance, just because I like too, and the dealer hates that !! I just wanna clear that error message, and they said they would also charge me to do it..... Thanks Mercedes Benz Dealer !!
