climate control FULL reset
How do you reset the climate control unit on a E320 (1996)? I mean a full reset to "factory settings".Tried to fixec-light-stays-on problem and now AC blows hot air all the time...Is there away to reset the temp system"wholesale" to factory settings? (I've searched the forumfor this specific question, found instructions on how to check error codes, etc, but no answer to my specific question.) Thanks in advance!

RE: climate control FULL reset
A FULL RESET OF YOUR A/C IS NOT GOING TO FIX YOUR EC LIGHT STAYS ON PROBLEM. THE EC LIGHT COMING ON TELLS YOU THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM AND THE A/C COMPRESSOR IS LOCKED OUT TO HELP AVOID FURTHER DAMAGE.

RE: climate control FULL reset
Thanks, I was actually able to reset the EC red light (the compressor ran fine) following instructions in athread in this forum. The light came on because I was low on refrigerant. That problem is/was solved. Unfortunately, the issue is that while pushing the buttons I accidently, in addition, changed something else in the process. Now...ifsomeonecould tell me how to fully reset the unit...Thanks.

Once you have had you airconditioner serviced with freon,,,there is a code you enter depending on the model ,,you enter it on the climate control itself i have done this before and now im having to do it again,,,,you can call mb and give them the vin and they will tell you how to enter the code on the unit to get the compressor back on
