i called the dealler to complain about my car situation, he would not ssay anything but asks me to come in for a harmonic balancing check.do u think this might be the cause of that gasping and vibration in my car?can someone also help me with the firing order of a C280.

I would definatly have your harmonic balancer checked as
soon as possible, they are known to come apart and destroy
the front of the engine cover and oil pan. There has been
a bulletin sent out on this, should be covered under warrenty.

I agree with benztech1.... checkout your harmonic balancer. When they go.. it's not a pretty sight.
Also... you didn't state if you had a L6 or a V6 in your C280, so here's the firing order for both.
