Hi guys I have a Mercedes C270 Cdi RHD
Based in Brighton Uk. It's a 2002 car and I have
Just brought it .
I purchased the car with a known front SAM module fault
And was told disconnect the earth/Negative lead
Overnight so the battery doesn't drain
The main faults from the SAM being no ESP
no central locking but car was driving and starting fine .
However I started car last night and after a few minutes
It just died and comes up with the limp mode
Warning triangle in yellow and DSR warning in red
There is a very faint constant beep from the front SAM
right hand side centre engine ish... Module
The car cranks and turns very strongly but doesn't start
any ideas I noticed where the previous owner has been removing
The earth connector from battery daily it's a bit
Frayed so am having this recut and clamped
I also noticed fuse 52 not been upped from 15amp to
20amp so will replace it any ideas on what the low pitched
Whistle noise from CENTRE FRONT SAM means presume it's a
Warning ??
And any solutions ???
I also wanted to find out where the main earth
Is under engine on gearbox ??
