C230 Alternator Problems
Hello all, I have 2005 C230 Kompressor and just recently replaced the alternator because the bearing had gone out and it was making a very loud noise. Now that I have replaced the alternator and the battery checked good, the light on the dash still comes on after a few minutes of running. Does anyone know if any resetting of the electrical system or computer is necessary to get that light to turn off or do you think I may have a wiring issues or maybe just got a bad reman alternator? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

no, the battery light should just go out when the charging system is in working order. are all the wires hooked up correctly? are the screws to the regulator on the back of the alternator all screwed down.
