My Benz ML270 Automaticis eight years old and for the last two years the overdrive (kickdown) has stopped working. I have taken it to the dealers here in Trinidad, West Indies, with no solution. It kept coming and going at first (when the vehicle was about six years old), coming back everytime I restarted the engine, only to stop again after about 20 minutes, even when the dealers said they fixed it and I should have no further problems- now it has stopped completly. It drives normal on manual electronicshift with no problems. A light flashes about nine timeson the dashboard at start-up indicating that there is a problem with the transmission - but it drives normal withmanual electronic shift. The on board computer shows no error messages.Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem????
