Default Alternator belt Adjuster

Whatever it is called it is what the alternator bolts to (the top bolt). The bolt is stripped and the adjuster is cracked and ruined.

I was wondering where you get the adjuster from and what the name of it is for real.

Thanks in advance.

To get an exact answer you need to include model and year in with your question, but it sounds like you are describing the alternator bracket and tensioning device. As to where to get these parts if your lucky you may find one at a pick and pull or there are several online sites and as a last resort (unless $$ is not an issue) MB dealership.

Thanks. It turns out that I was able to fix it at least for now.

It is not the bracket. It is what the top bolt on the laternator screws into so the belt may be adjusted. The dealer was unable to help as well as a foreign auto parts store. Odd.
