2004 Mercedes S430. After coming to a stop, engine idles rough and car dies. Try to restart and ALL warning lights come on and stay on, car tries to turn over but does not start. What's the problem?

 

Sounds like the infamous crankshaft position sensor!

The crank sensor has 2 options. Good or not. When it's bad then the car is not idling with rough idle. Then the car just simply shuts off or won't start. You either have a low fuel pressure or a dirty throttle body or a stuck open EGR valve.
