ive never heard of that at benz training or from anyone...ive driven all these cars in excess of 100mph and never experienced anything like that. i checked the benz diagnostic system for related topics and nothing... they do have features that warn you of excess speed in the cluster but not the gas pedal.. maybe your feeling tire or bent rim vibrations?

You didn't say how fast you were going but I have never experienced anything like you describe. Was the vibration constant like you feel with ABS brakes or was it erratic?
With my car in neutral, I have been able to rev the engine (by accident) so the rev limiter switches on which causes the engine to jump or cough as the gas is restricted by the governor. However, the gas pedal was not affected, just the engine as the revs climbed with no engine load.

Take it to the dealer and ask them. Unless there is something new out there it would appear to be a flaw in your vehicle.

A fool was recently clocked doing 231km/hr (142 mph) in his 07 CLK so he didn't have any trouble with the gas pedal. BTW, one fine alone was three years license suspension and $10,000 fine.
