AC questions (84 300D)
I bought a 84 300D and the AC is not working.
Just curious what the common causes of this are (seems like most of the older ones on ebay and the like are non-working)
Assuming I get it working but it needs a charge...what's involved with converting to 134A or faux-R12 products
Gracias

RE: AC questions (84 300D)
You can use R-12 substitute without restrictions. They get pretty cheap lately.
To convert to R134, the replacement of accumulator and flushing is recommended.
I had one, with minimal leak, that dumped 1 lb of freon in 2 months.
All the test couldn't find the leak, so I kept adding freon twice a season.
