1991 420SEL won't start or even crank over, please help
This is our first Mercedes Benz and we are quite in love with it. It has always been dependable, no problems, except the running lights flash when we are driving it and we can't get those to go off unless we drive with the lights on. But the other morning we went to leave and when i turned the key it just clicked. no cranking, nothing.
I have searched the forums looking for help and have tried starting it in neutral (didn't work) as well as checking all the ground connections. We also disconnected the battery and left it disconnected for a day and a half. It still just clicks.
We bought the car used and don't have an owners manual for it and i can't find a Haynes or chilton's manual for it.
Look forward to hearing from any or all of you.
Thank you

Take the battery out. Charge it with a charger for a day. Bring the battery to one of those autozone/advanced auto/pep boys chain stores. They will then load test the battery. May just be a bad battery.
If it were the NSS, it would not click.
