Battery's fine, won't even crank

Default Battery's fine, won't even crank
My 1986 560 SL has been in storage for a couple months. When I went to start it today the lights and power went on, but when I turned the key...all went dark. No power. Reattached the battery...same result. Battery is fine. It's almost as if there is a kill switch. What could be the problem?

did you have the battery on a floater, maintainer ?
or did you charge it before reattaching? id have the battery tested under load
before i did anything else..
