Hi,

New to the board - has been useful.

My 300SE has been topped off with R12 (so I know that is not an issue) but the center vents have no air flow (flapper door closed?) when the AC is running.

All other vents functioning as they should. Any ideas on the culprit? Where to start checking?

check the vacuum element (#40) for operational and condition. follow that vacuum hose and see if it is leaking or no vacuum at all.

I don't know if yours is the same, but mine won't blow through the center vents until I push a red/blue button next to the vents.

 

Hi - Thanks sleepwalker and lugnut. The two diaphrams 40 and 41 were rotted out. The new ones were not too expensive - works great now!

 

I have the same problem. No heat/air coming out of center vents. I know the driver side vents works properly. Can anyone help me on this. I have a 1987 300D turbo.
