1989 300 SE Revs really low
Hello,
I have a 1989 Mercedes 300 SE.
I just got done installing my audio system into my car and tonight for some reason when I started the car to make sure everything sound alright and set the EQ and Programming and all.
Anyway So I'm sitting there and the car starts to shake really bad and I glanced at the Panel and the RPM meter was like right below 500 RPM, so Like I guess it felt like the car wanted to stall it self.
What would cause this because I drove the car about 2 hours ago and everything was fine and the radio worked prefect , no problems.
conditions that I think may have an Affect but I have minor knowledge about cars so I need your opinions.
Weather: it's like freezing out maybe 30-34 F.
Car was cold, Hadn't been run for about 2 hours before 5 minutes ago
Car was parked in my driveway and wasn't moving.
Anyway is what I described normal for the car or do I need to have it looked at ?

Not that I know of, I'll check the connections under the Backseats.
I also am not using the Factory amps, I have speaker wires coming from the headunit running into the wiring to goes to the speakers after it comes out of the amp so the factory amp is not in the picture.
But tomorrow I'll recheck all my connections.
If I did Short a wire how would I know.
Another fact when I was running the stero off the battery, when I turned the volume past 46, to test quaility really quick , the radio flashed off then turned back on.

Any fuses blown? Also check the voltage relay the thing with the red cap next to the fire wall with a 10 amp fuse it in it. Those sometimes go and if it was about to go anyway u might have pushed it over the limit.
