Default 1989 190e 2.6 engine life

I have been looking at a 190e 2.6 with an automatic transmission and 180k miles.
It looks like it has been taken care of realy well. My question is what is the general
life expectancy of this model engine and transmission? Should I expect the car to
have another 50k miles in it before magor problems.

thanks,

Woody from Tyrone Ga.

you can proably expect this engine to go another 100,000 with proper care! just bring it to the dealer/mechanic for tune ups and fluid replacements every once in a while and your good to go. mercedes "over engineered" their cars and made them to last for a very, very long time. ive seen mercedes benzes with over a million miles and that is becoming less and less rare.
