The block part# is cast-in on the passenger side of the block, near the oil pan, toward the torque converter housing.
Now the block ser# is letter-stamped on the passenger side of the block, near the oil pan, toward the front, on one of the webs. Its right behind the pcv pump. Good luck seeing it; you'll need a light, some cleaner, a mirror, a tv, and a six pack. Blue
