Hi All,

Newbie here. I just bought a 1987 300D on Thursday. On Saturday the sunroof stopped working. It closed half way and I had to crank it closed the rest. Of course, I bought it "as is, no warranty". Any suggestions on troubleshooting this? Any idea where the motor is housed?

I looked in the forums here and didn't see may solutions to sunroof issues. forgive me if I missed something.

Actually, my dad went to the guy I bought it from and told him my dilema. The guy said "sure, no problem. bring it in.". Thanks dad!


Although, it would be nice to actually have the tool to crank the sunroof with instead of having to hunt for a rachet to fit. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement tool kit for my car?
