Hi All,

I have a 1983 300D with 111K in great condition except for the cracked dash. I know this has been a consistent problem which occurred especially in the older Benzes. It keeps getting worse and it's time to do something so I am reaching out for suggestions. I see dash covers advertised on EBAY etc. and am curious if anyone has tried it and are satisfied. Should I try to find another dash and get it replaced or will it happen again?

Any suggestions or experiences are greatly appreciated!

I've been putting those carpet covers on my older cars. With $39 at Kragen Auto can't beat the price.
The practical part is just OK. The 2-sided tapes, that suppose to hold the cover in the place, let it go in higher temperatures. Pens like to go under the carpet.
If you find it, try to get vinyl cover. Will look more original.
