190e timing chain
I am about to buy a 1989 190e 2.6 with 180k on it. I have a couple of questions
like are there any big maintaince items I need to check. The timing chain has never been
replaced should this be a concern.

The timing chain should not be a concern unless it is making some noise (i.e. a loose chain would create slap sound on the housing and gears). I've heard these cars will go 300K without any major problems.
