in the last week, my front two power windows went bad. luckily they both stopped working while up. but i can no longer get them to go down, which makes driving in the memphis heat a bear with no air conditioning. when the car is off and i press the up button, i hear the window try to go up, but i hear no such sound when i press down. which makes me think it is something wrong with the switch or the electrical? could anyone else help me figure out what is wrong. i checked fuses, i guess it could be the relay or window motors as well.

 

I had the same problem and found the switches in the center counsel had bad contacts. I was able to take them apart and clean the contacts and reassemble them and have had no problems since
