Turbo Blanket/Shields

Anyone running turbo blankets? Any "REAL" heat dissipation under the hood? Any one with an EGT gauge who has ran them, were EGT's lowered?

Is this worth looking into?

I think I still might have some of that fiberglass wrap from my old VW air cooled days.
