Default 300d transmission help!

so im new to these cars. I have an 82 300d turbo with about 190k miles on it. Runs great sounds good. The issue im having is with the transmission though. Whens its cold the downshift is really rough, it shifts up fine but when coming to a stop the downshift arent too pleasant, once it warms up for about 5-10 mins it shifts fine could this be a vacuum issue?. also I feel like it shifts through gears quickly. By 30 mph im at my last gear and my rpms stay at 2k from 25-55 mph which i thought to be strange, but like i said i dont know these cars too well so trying to find out whats normal. any input helps! Thanks guys

Do you happen to have a part number? Is it a whole piece or do I just need to connect vacuum lines cause it seems like some are missing/not connected anywhere

Another ancient thread.

I was working under my car and accidently disconnected the vacuum line at the transmission vacuum module. I got into the car and drove around, and my up shift were a tiny bit abrupt, but my down shifts were really harsh.

Re-connecting the vacuum line cured it. However, I have read of plastic vacuum module cap being gone or crack and that also has an effect.

There is 2 external transmission adjustments. One is the Bowden cable up on top of the valve cover and the other is under the transmission vacuum module is a thing you twist. My memory is not clear on what happens when you adjust either of those.
