hi, i have a 1982 300d with a fair amount of rust in the rear and the odometer does not work [for the past 8 or 9 moths ] And i am wondering if i were to sell it for parts how much should i get for the engine .

hard to tell without any specifics on the engine model, mileage, condition, etc...I just sold a 12V Cummins Turbo Diesel with free 97 dodge ram attached for $3K - engine had 260K miles on it. Most offers for the engine alone came in between $1800-2200 - online they went for between $2400 and $6k depending on year and condition.

Do a search online for your specific engine "for sale" and you will find places selling them. Price your reasonable to theirs to be able to move it. Keep in mind the cost of removing it, etc., and then shipping - thats why my truck came attached for free - it moved itself - just add human to tell it where to go.
