Hi-I recently purchased an 85 300 Turbo Diesel and changed the oil. I added 7 quarts of oil but it still looks low. Is that normal? How many quarts are normal? I don't have an owners manual yet so I don't know the specifications and didn't want to overdo it. Thanks.

 

I just did an oil change, I drained the oil with the car on a level surface without jacking it up at all, changed the filter. I then added 8 quarts, and the dipstick reveals it to be overfilled, so Forcedinduction has it right above^^^^^
