My 1993 2.5 300D sometimes when shifts into 2nd gear for like a second has no pick up and i hear this crackling noise then it accelerates it does it less in third and i think it does not do it in 4th. It does not do it all the times but very often like every other time at least. SO it will accelerate normal then shift into 2nd then like no power when i floor it and i hear this like noise metal hitting metal then one second after it accelerates anyone has suggestion????

 

Check all of your vacuum hoses. I was having a similiiar problem until I noticed that one of my vacuum hoses were disconnected.
