i havve a 83 300d turbo mercedes with a staright 5 im trying to replace the starter and i got the bracket off but cant get the starter off cuse i cant loosent the two hex bolts i have no room to turn them do i have to remove the exahust to replace the starter?

 

i use a 3/8 drive long flex ratchet with socket.they can be very tight.hammer allen socket in with brass hammer so you dont strip hole.
