so today i got my new engine running in my 300SDL,after starting up and idling my engine is making a clacking noise now and then, but when i rev to 1500-2500 rpm the clacking noise becomes constant, but when itpast 2500 rpm the clacking ceases and it smoothen out, mymech told me that it could be the injector, and also the engine was sitting in a storage for a while should i be concern about this clacking noise...

so today morning i started my car, and the noise ceased, no sound.. after driving a few miles there was a slight sound (not as loud as yesterday) and the engine misfire one's in a while, so i think all i have to do is add a lot of additive and drive....

 

Diesel purge is tricky. Plugging the fuel line, ensuring both hoses are in the container, and monitoring engine temperature. But it's well worth it.

How long does the car have to run on the stuff?

do you thinka leaking injector(Leak spot is at the gasket area line 1 and 2)could cause that sound because its leaking moderately and it seem to form a puddle of diesel reallyquickly after adrive or warm up...

If there is no primer on OM603then how do u bleed the fuel system????
